Ms Manu Khajuria is a freelance writer, published author and activist from Jammu Kashmir. A native of Jammu Region, hailing from Village Bumnal in Bishnah Tehsil, her focus of study has been the Region, its history, culture and current issues. She is also the Founder Director of Voice of Dogras, a community organization which espouses the rights of the Jammu Region and aims to preserve and promote its unique history and cultural identity. She was awarded the prestigious Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Annual Award 2019 by the Trustees of Maharaja Gulab Singh Trust under the Chairmanship of Dr Karan Singh for her outstanding contribution in the promotion of Dogra culture, history and legacy. She was felicitated by the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Twitter India & Breakthrough India with Web Wonder Women award in 2019. She has received Commendation from the British Red Cross, where she served as a volunteer in their International Family Tracing division. A published author book Mountain Goddesses explores Dharmic Femininity especially as reflected in the history and faith traditions of the Jammu hills.
She graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, with a Bachelors in Sociology Honours and has a Post Graduate in Masters in Social Work from Tata Insititute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
